Mrs. Sarkissian background in the performing art is rooted in her musical education in Bulgaria were she graduated in Cello Performance in the class of Professor Z.Jordanov and she has Master Degree in chamber music under guidance of British trained violinist Angel Stankov . Later in USA Mrs. Sarkissian received a Graduate Certificate in cello music performance from The University of Southern California’s, Thornton School of Music, were she has the opportunity to study with amazing Mr. Ronald Leonard.
Her performing efforts were well received from the very beginning of her career with her debut as a soloist of Ruse Philharmonic with Dabble Concerto in G Minor and approach lather to recital and solo recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio and Television.
Her professional orchestra career began in Bulgaria in 1995-2000 at The National Radio Orchestra and at the same time she was holding the first chair as a principal at New Symphony Orchestra with conductor and music director - Rosen Milanov –presently assistant conductor of Philadelphia Philharmonic. |

Since 1999-2000 she has worked as a cellist in a large chamber group in intensively performing at the Bads.
Her commitment to chamber music began during years as the cellist of clavier quartet ‘Sofia” who won 1st place at the International competition “Earth and The People”, and lather as a cellist of string quartet “Gamma”- well known with there performances, attending festivals, and numerous recording for Bulgarian National Radio and TV.
An active part of Mrs. Sarkissian musical live is also worked enthusiastically to assist in the creating of new works by contemporary composers, where she was strongly influenced with the legend of Bulgarian cello Professor Z. Jordanov in the Foundation 12 cellos, granted with various awards and recordings. This her passion to cotemporary music continues through her appearances at the concerts for New Direction Music in Southern California.
Currently Mrs. Sarkissian performs with Redlands Symphony, San Bernardino Symphony, Bakersfield Symphony, Santa Barbara Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony and Beverly Hills Symphony Orchestras. Also she teach cello at “ Lark” Conservatory in Glendale. |
